Methinks after the nose job, he looked even more aqua!:D:D

The photo above is not how he looks like post-surgery.
This is how the guy really looked.

Peers question treatment by (Ed: NOT A REAL) plastic surgeon Amal Dass
By MICHELLE QUAH

(SINGAPORE) Two of Singapore's leading cosmetic surgeons have weighed in on the saga that has seen make-up artist Sng Hock Guan sue his aesthetic surgeon, Dr Amal Dass of Advanced Aesthetics & Surgery, for a botched nose job.

Botched: Wrong infection treatment may have caused the crater on the tip of Mr Sng's nose, said Dr Kuek

Dr Woffles Wu and Dr Leslie Kuek have provided their expert testimonies in Mr Sng's writ of summons and have questioned Dr Dass's experience and judgment in his treatment of Mr Sng.
...
...
During the operation, Mr Sng said, he was strapped down to the operating table by his waist, arms and legs. He said when Dr Dass began operating, he began experiencing excruciating pain and 'struggled and kicked' to indicate that he was not properly sedated, but Dr Dass did not notice. He said he suffered in agony for six- and-a-half hours, when his other rhinoplasty procedures had been painless and lasted only about an hour.
...
...
In the days after the operation, Mr Sng said his nose started to swell and he noticed there was a 15 cm strip of gauze left inside.
...
...
Dr Kuek also found two cuts on Mr Sng's nose when he examined his post-operation photographs, which he believes were not part of the procedure but accidentally created during surgery.
...
...
Dr Kuek also said that Dr Dass's failure to treat the infection correctly after the surgery 'may have contributed to further tissue destruction and the eventual rupture of the skin of the nasal tip' - referring to Mr Sng's nose implant pushing through the skin from the inside and eventually creating a crater on the tip of his nose.

Fuck ugly...

Doctors are a privilege lot here. At most get a fine and short suspension. Even if sued, doctors can afford.

I detect some aspects of cheating here. Dr Dass passed himeslf off as a competent and qualified doctor to perform the surgery when in actual fact, he is not qualified to perform the said surgery.

Any lawyers or legal experts here?

Yes, there is indeed misrepresentation.

The fact is, there's a difference between a "cosmetic" or "aesthetic surgeon" and a "plastic" (actually, reconstructive) surgeon. To become the latter, you must enter the highly competitive specialist program, after general surgery training - another competitive training program. The trainees then specialise in areas like, microsurgery, craniofacial (face & head) surgery, burns, cosmetic reconstruction, etc..

"Cosmetic" or "aesthetic" doctors are a sales gimmick. They're normally f--king GPs who paid for short certificate courses in minor reconstructive procedures who then try to fool patients into thinking they're actual plastic reconstructive specialists, to drum up business by inflating their degree of competence. By the way, there is no such specialty as "comestic" or "aesthetic surgery".

Because of the increasing number of GPs pretending to be "plastic surgeons", there's been an increase in surgical disfigurement disasters.

A word of advice: anyone who's planning to get some "plastic surgery" procedures done ought to know the very vast differences and leave the GPs to tend to their coughs & flu instead! That is unless you want to let your GP try their luck at cutting & chopping your face.

An aesthetics doctor and his clinic who were sued by a well-known make-up artist has agreed to pay $250,000 and costs.

The High Court on Monday entered judgment of the amount in favour of Mr Sng Hock Guan, 40, in his medical negligence and breach of contract suit against Advanced Aesthetic & Surgery and its owner, Dr Amal Dass, 41, the husband of model Junita Simon.

The case was supposed to have been scheduled for five days of hearing.

Lawyers from both sides held talks in the morning and afternoon and saw the judge in chambers.

Aesthetics doctor ordered to pay make-up artist for botched nose job

SINGAPORE: An aesthetics doctor has conceded that he was negligent and breached his duty of care to a former patient over a nose job gone wrong in 2008, even before a scheduled five-day civil suit in a High Court over the matter could begin.

As a result of his concessions, Dr Amal Dass, a Singaporean general practitioner who is married to veteran model Junita Simon, was on Monday ordered to pay make-up artist Sng Hock Guan S$250,000, on top of legal costs.

Lawyers from both sides had earlier spent a full day in a judge's chambers locked in negotiations.

Dr Dass, however, denied two other claims made by Mr Sng, 40, who suffered a serious infection because of the botched surgery and subsequently spent about S$77,000 to repair his collapsed nose.

These allegations related to the medical qualifications of Dr Dass as well as of the staff in his clinic, Advanced Aesthetics & Surgery in Orchard Building, and of fraudulently misrepresenting himself as having the qualifications, knowledge and skill to perform the rhinoplasty when in fact he was not registered on the Singapore Medical Council's Register of Specialists as a specialist in plastic surgery.

According to the statement of claim filed by Mr Sng's lawyer, Mr Wendell Wong of Drew & Napier, two well-known plastic surgeons here, Dr Woffles Wu and Dr Leslie Kuek, had given statements questioning Dr Dass' experience and judgment before, during and after the surgery.

Among Mr Sng's various claims was that he was improperly sedated during the six-and-a-half-hour surgery, which caused him excruciating pain.

Dr Dass' conduct of the surgery, his choice of implant for Mr Sng - who has had multiple cosmetic surgeries in the past, including six nose jobs - and post-operation decisions were also deemed "inappropriate" by Dr Wu and Dr Kuek.

After the court's decision, a visibly relieved Mr Sng hugged his lawyers. He also issued a statement saying it had been "a long and difficult journey for (him) these past three years".

He added: "It is now for the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) to judge what happens after he has admitted his negligent acts towards me."

Dr Dass declined comment on Monday.

TODAY understands that the SMC's investigations against Dr Dass are in progress. -
