I got a Few very good friends from Shanghai and Beijing in Singapore who owns a No. of Pubs and F&b outlets...They Look down on the Local Chinese alot and prefer to hang out with Non-Chinese Singaporeans and this people are living in high-end Condos and Houses and drive luxury Vehicles... hahaha. I got to admit its quite true.. Ganges river got to be fucking Cleaned up... I went there 10 yrs ago and it was dirty like fuck but on the a brighter side i could see the beauty of it(Untouched and The tradition)..This December i will be doing a 3 month backpacking by myself in India/Nepal(Hopefully if i can save abit more add 1 month in china).. I hope it has changed abit..But most likely not..But Honestly speaking, Other then cleaning up the River..I would like India to be Untouched(Not going Modern).. Just like how i would like Singapore not to Change too much.(Already over-changed).And keep to its beauty and Mess..I dont like things to be too tidy. China going up its a very good thing for Asia..Same case as India..Its high time that Asia as a Whole become a Power House.
P.s India needs to go Communism for at least the next 10yrs.. Democracy has too many voiced..During Development you need a single 1 party to take charge.. Not a Bunch of different party members bickering among each other.
