A fleet of trishaw ferrying tourists knock down some goods on displays from an indian store. What suprise me was they didn't stop to apologise. They just ran over the goods!

When confronted one of them even show the middle finger! The Singapore tourism board should not allow such gangsterism behavior by their operators!

Trishaws/rickshaws belong in a museum. They should not be used in modern times where the internal combustion engine is used to power buses and vans to transport people. It is not right to use elderly people to carry passenger tourists on manually powered vehicles. For this hardship, they (the trishaw/rickshaw operators) should be allowed opium to ease the hard work they're subjected to.

I may agree with your statement if the Qing Dynasty still exists. But in 1911/12, a person by the name of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen ridded China of its archaic Dyanstic governments and started the Republic of China. Since then, lot of old medieval ways have been shed, women have been given more rights (eg.: foot-binding practice has stopped). Whilst it remains that many Chinamen still practice ways of their ancient ancestors, there is new blood with forward thinking minds. They just have to forget their chinky attachments. And eat more pasta, less rice.
