STOMPer snakeleo was shocked to find his house splashed with paint by an "Ah Long", or loan shark. The STOMPer lives in block 35x, while the loan sharks seem to be targeting someone living in block 860.

In the STOMPer's report:

"I was shocked to find my house splashed with paint by Ah Long.

"I am staying at Blk 35X, why did the Ah Long anyhow splash paint?

"Ah Long, please go to the right house to do your business, don't bother me as I don't owe you a single cent!"

Easy way to solve ah long problem. Just set stiff sentences. For example:

Runner - minimum 1 years prison and rotan. Sentence can be reduced if runner can produce evidence that lead to conviction of leaders.

Ah Long Leader - minimum 5 years prison and compulsory rotan- confiscation of all funds and assets used in loan shark operations. Like that Ah Long leader suddenly own his fiancers $$$.

Knowingly financing a loan shark operation - 1 year jail, lose directorship position in company for 5 years.

Above applies if caught for unapproved means of $ collection. I think you need to make it not worth the while to use illicit means of collecting loans.

MHA can setup a crack anti loan shark team with investigators, video cameras, legal support, special access to financial documents of suspected loan sharks, speedy court date, firm and fixed sentences. Just need to press hard for 1 year, throw in a few big sharks for 5 years and rotan. It is like going after cancer, you come in hard and try to exterminate the cancer.

I do not see this in 1st world countries so I can only conclude that MHA is not doing a good job.

The question I have is why do we always read about loanshark runners being arrested and sweeps being made to arrest these runners.
But we never hear about the masterminds behind the loanshark syndicates being apprehended.
