28 Apr - Christy Chung recently defended husband Shawn Zhang (aka Zhang Lunshuo), after the actor made a statement about still wanting to have a child of his own with her.
The whole issue sparked after the 43-year-old mainland actor appeared on a TV show, saying that he has not given up on the idea of his own child. He stated that the technology has to catch up or that they can still adopt if other ways do not work.
His statement sparked anger among Christy's fans, seeing that the actress is now 55 years old.
In response, Christy stood up for Shawn, saying that people misunderstood what he was saying.
"We have heard the most hurtful words and shed the most aggrieved tears, but our family has always held each other tighter," she said.
Christy said that sincerity never lies, and thanked her husband for supporting her throughout their marriage.
It is noted that the actress herself had expressed desire in the past to have a child with Shawn. Christy married the actor, who is 12 years her junior back in 2016, when she was 45.
She herself has three children, all daughters, from her past two marriages.
