I beg to differ, the biscuit coming from both sides SG & JB so punters aplenty.Still remember long time ago there was a ship call omar if not wrong , the casino come with a Japanese name 竞技场, by that time there was few ships operating , leisure world, long jie..., the casino really empty with very little punters throughout day and night , slightly more only in weekend, heard that the boss is actually just to wash money then just few months time in operation after that dissappear, look like the singapore biscuit is almost fix with this size only , any additional ship is just try to share the same size biscuit, having 2 ships will split the same punters to two place and both ships also feel empty in casino.
GD cruise not cheap just a short trip 3D2N easily a thousand bucks, yet always full at times even overbooked, cos they know how to attract the punter crowd where the real money is, earn enough pts next trip FREE only pay port tax.
Long time ago i frequent LongJie CNW, big ship evening out back morning no need take ferry, follow junket with rolling the entry plus cabin is FREE still got 1% rolling rebate on top.
Last time i also frequent AP for their last ferry cos price only 15 bucks roll 200 still can get back 10 effectively only 5 bucks.
The AP of current whether day or night ferry or cabin still same price, means if go last ferry reach already 10pm next day check out noon around half day use not even 24hrs stay yet after 4pm still need another extension fee 30 bucks cannot roll, so those going better just do day trips reach around noon got full 24hrs onboard no need extension.
Ferry 68 cabin 110 weekday is 178 bucks and its really not that accsesible, still need 4hrs ferry ride to and fro and that exclude travel time home to ulu TMFT, feel like doing some overnight gaming better just pay casino levy not only cheaper no need waste 4hrs ferry time, more convenient easy to access own time own target and with time management one 24hrs levy can even do 2 trips, sure its their prerogative to set pricing to stay afloat, similarly market forces will dictate whether its worthy of a trip or simply avoid and go somewhere else, so if punters are not coming is already a big tell tale sign that adjustments need to be made or more need to be done.
My 0.2 cents worth, can agree to disagree.
