Up till today few people including myself have a clear idea of what constitutes contempt of court and in particular what constitutes fair comment when a case is subjudice.
This ambiguity allows the govt administrative discretion to selectively prosecute comment made online or offline. And without giving anyone a clear idea why that person was prosecuted whilst many others aren't. Alex Au has born the brunt of the law, I believe at least once already. And he is one of the best online commentators I know.
The Administration of Justice (Protection) Bill allows the govt even greater leeway and broader powers to carry out this selective prosecution. This is will cause people to censor themselves even more.
That's why sammyboy forum remains important. And that is also why we must view with great suspicion attempts to destroy the anonymity of individuals.
