Actor Huang Yiliang plead guilty to charge of voluntarily causing hurt

SINGAPORE: Former MediaCorp actor Ng Aik Leong, better known as Huang Yiliang, is expected to plead guilty when he returns to court on April 5.

The 50-year-old, who's currently an insurance agent, turned up in court Thursday to face a charge of voluntarily causing hurt to a woman.

Court documents state that Ng had grabbed Mdm Tan Buay Huang's neck, pushed her and caused her to fall near Toa Payoh Lorong 2 on May 20 last year, shortly after 7.00 pm.

This after Ng allegedly got into a scuffle with the victim after he noticed that she did not dispose of her dog's faeces properly.

The case was adjourned Thursday morning as the victim's medical report is said to be incomplete.

Ng's lawyer said that he tried to get the prosecution to withdraw the charge and give his client a warning instead, but this was turned down.

If guilty, Ng faces a jail term of up to two years, or a maximum fine of S$5,000, or both.

There are 2 landed house around my area who put up these signs:
1) Do not throw your dog poo into the dustbin! (the dustbin is located outside his gate)
2) This is NOT a public dustbin, do not throw rubbish into the bin! (located outside his gate)

Now.. i always pickup my dog poo in an NTUC plastic bag.. but i do have to throw them into a dustbin. Seriously what's wrong with these people??? Do you prefer the dog poo (wrapped in plastic) thrown into your bin, or left outside your bin?? The area outside your house is public road, you bin is placed on public road, if you do not want crap thrown into your bin i will have to leave them outside your bin, outside your house. Your choice.

I think it reflects the tolerance of people living here. Imagine if everyone puts a notice outside his house saying "don't throw dog poo into my bin (even if wrapped in plastic bag)" it could mean i have to bring my bag of dog poo into my car and carry around for the whole day until i find a bin. When you make it that difficult for pet owners, people start to behave negatively and that is to leave the dog poo unpicked. I have an experience when someone walked pass my house and his dog pooed, what i did was offer him a plastic bag so that he could throw the poo into the bin outside my house. It is not about dog lover or dog hater but people got to be more sensible.
