Makapa and Johnny both have made threads on the CPF lately.

Here, I'd like to share two informative webpages on specifically the Medisave component of the CPF, which is arguably the most problematic of the 3 CPF accounts (Ordinary, Special, Medisave).

Read not just the main articles, but all the visitor comments as well. Note that there's still widespread confusion and misconception over exactly what the "Medisave Minimum Sum" vs "Medisave Required Amount" vs "Medisave Contribution Ceiling" mean. Anyone who is clear about these terms, please enlighten the rest of us.

Too frequent changes by PAP ministers every year and too many grey areas in website information such that the CPF ,MPs and Finance Professionals sometimes also do not understand .So how can the ordinary CPF members understand ?
Singapore is unique. We CPF members (lenders) lend money to Govt (borrower) and the borrower implement so many rules and boobytraps yearly such that the lenders are disqualified from withdrawing their own money !

Thanks for the info, indeed, Medisave component is the most problematic and it is said that we should use it all up
before we kick the bucket.

Indeed, it's rather confusing, isn't it, using two very similar terms and frankly, CPF keeps changing its rules and most of the time,
its website updates without informing anyone what it updates and no press announcements, so no one knows what has changed.
