我们首先来看这次事件发生的海域。根据巴基斯坦海军公布的坐标看，是在俾路支省海岸以南的海域。
我们知道，巴基斯坦的领海区域并不大，如果是出动固定翼反潜机的话，巴基斯坦海军最先进的反潜机是2012年接收的美制P-3C反潜巡逻机。
但是从巴基斯坦的报道中明确，发现目标的是一架反潜直升机，那么美国的P-3C反潜机就没有能够立功了！

巴基斯坦海军目前的主力反潜直升机是中国出口的直-9EC舰载反潜直升机，主要装备在巴基斯坦海军的从中国购买的F-22P导弹护卫舰上。
第一批直-9EC反潜直升机是2009年11月出口给巴基斯坦，并在巴海军中服役的。这种直升机装备有对海搜索雷达、低频吊放声呐、雷达警告接收机和多普勒导航系统等先进设备，并可挂装反潜鱼雷。
2010年11月，巴基斯坦海军又接收了第二批4架直-9EC反潜直升机。

让我们回到这次事件中。
由于直-9EC反潜直升机主要部署在F-22P护卫舰上，那么很可能在附近有一艘这样的护卫舰存在。

由于，印巴冲突后印度海军大举出海，并关闭应答装置，对巴基斯坦海岸具有明显的敌视行为，因此巴基斯坦海军最近也是神经高度紧张。
作为巴基斯坦海军最先进的导弹护卫舰，F-22P型舰自然而然要担当起守护海疆的职责。这样的话，发现印度潜艇就可能有两种可能：
一种是由导弹护卫舰上的声呐系统在远距离上发现水下目标，然后再起飞直-9EC反潜直升机进行搜索和驱潜；
还有一种可能就是这架直-9EC直升机被放出去进行巡逻飞行，结果通过声呐浮标探测，亦或者是直接目视发现了这艘在潜望镜深度航行的印度潜艇。

无论是哪种可能性，中国直-9EC直升机发现的印度潜艇肯定是实锤了！
如果在实战中，往往就可以投放深水炸弹或者是反潜鱼雷了。但是，正如巴基斯坦海军发言人说的：“考虑到巴基斯坦的和平政策，印度潜艇没有成为袭击目标。”
那么，直-9EC可能在潜艇周围投放了声呐浮标，使用声呐信号叩击潜艇，让其知难而退。在这种情况下，印度潜艇只能够是浮出水面，以和平的姿态退出了这个海域。

首先，标题。从早前还是比较弱势的“阻止/阻挠”印度潜艇的企图（thwarts attempt），变成更直白的“挫败”印度潜艇的企图（foils attempt）

第三，而更新后的消息中，巴基斯坦海军确认这艘印度潜艇是3月4日在巴方水域（Pakistan‘s maritime zone）被发现并被定位。并指出，随着不断监控其他印度海军部队，该潜艇一直处于监视之中。而且，探测到的潜艇是印度海军的最新潜艇之一。
“如果不是巴基斯坦的政策是在面对印度侵略时保持克制，并给和平获胜的机会，那么本可以很轻松的攻击这艘潜艇，并将其摧毁”。
这是巴方在发出更强硬警告的同时，实际上也公开宣布了这艘印方潜艇的身份。目前正在印度本土组装生产的法国“鲉鱼”级常规潜艇正符合“印度最新潜艇”的描述，当然也不排除是印度核潜艇的可能性。
