What about the other type of abalone? :D

SINGAPORE : Prices of abalone are expected to come down by as much as 20 per cent during this Lunar New Year due to oversupply.

This is the result of unsold abalone from last year as well as the entry of more brands into the market.

There are now over 20 brands of canned abalone, compared to just three in previous years.

Some distributors have also introduced fresh abalone, which they said can be fried, steamed or even eaten raw. - CNA/ms

you don't "catch" abalone. they are not like crawlers or swimmers which can scurry away in a hurry. you harvest them.

there's another type of 'abalone' that you can scratch, not catch, when it's itchy (and bitchy).

I noticed the famous brand "Calmex and New Moon from Mexico" are taken off from the shelves. Smelyl abalone, what happen then.

In so many years of eating abalone, this is the first time I come across smelly abalone.

Previously where got such thing?

Very good. Serve those right for monopolising the market with high prices. Hahahahaha.......

Abalones should be freshly pink and white moving like below !
