Summary
The rank of Sergeant with X County Sheriff’s Office is a commissioned position, classified as a first line supervisor of Deputies and civilian employees. Responsibilities include coordination, scheduling and administrative support of shift, section or unit activities; resource management; and response to field situations as an incident commander. Sergeants may also be assigned to serve in a leadership position within a contract city.
