Giant Singapore flag enters record books

SINGAPORE: Radin Mas constituency has built a giant Singapore flag using plastic water bottles which earned them an entry into the Singapore Book of Records.

Some 2,800 plastic bottles - spray-painted red and white - were used to make the giant flag to celebrate Singapore's 46th National Day.

This metal structure - measuring 15 by 10 by four feet - comes with netting to allow the bottles to be inserted.

Fairy lights were also placed in the bottles.

Radin Mas MP Sam Tan was present to receive the award from the Singapore Book of Records for the biggest Singapore flag made out of plastic water bottles.
