A Singaporean's guide to living in Thailand

Finally on my third day I had a chance to have probably the only Vietnamese dish I like, PHO

This was the restaurant I was brought to

Friday evening our customer brought us to a very nice Vietnamese restaurant in District 1 its called SH

It looked upmarket

I have to admit this restaurant is very nice interms of the decoration and service. As for the food well its ok but full of wraps. Pho is better.

Saturday was a working day for us so after work around 2pm went to a very good pho shop known as Pho Bui Gia

Finally its Sunday and I could relax and go for a nice morning walk

Its its Sunday, rest day, and I went for a morning walk and tried a few food while strolling.

Definitely look more appealing than our Jiuhu Kia UNESCO hawker food

Apologise for the long break from my last post as this week was a crazy week for work. I think I left off at the Sunday walk so I shall continue here. So after talking a rather long walk and encountering the pho I passed by a noodle shop.

Ordered a standard bowl of noodle

I really enjoyed this noodle. Like the pho before the noodle portion is rather big so had less than half of noodle

As I continued to walk on Sunday I came accrossed a rather amusing little stall selling rice roll

The rice rolls was filled with minced pork and mushrooms

On my way back to the hotel I came across a mice cafe - Calamet Cafe

I had a drip coffee

And then a white coffee

Before coming back to Thailand I think it was Monday came across a Taiwanese shop

Very nice Taiwanese beer

My colleague had a braised pork rice - he said is very original

I had a bowl of beef noodle

Ordered dumplings

Famous Taiwanese fried chicken

Last dinner in Vietnam was at Hoang Tam restaurant a rather upmarket restaurant

Final meal in Vietnam was breakfast at Ibis Saigon Airport hotel

Glad to be finally going home as this was a rather long trip in a single city

My first breakfast in Thailand was how should I say, very Thai, missed this food so much.

Simple stall at the village

Krapow moo saab (minced pork with Thai basil) + egg

This is so satisfying, I have no words.
