A man was robbed at knifepoint on Thursday at Block 8 Tanjong Pagar Road. The victim, a man in his early 20s, was in the void deck at around 4.30pm when the assailant confronted him with a knife and demanded his money. The thief fled towards Duxton Road after the victim handed over a cardholder that contained $50 in cash. The police said the suspect was a man in his mid-20s, about 1.7m tall and slim built. He was wearing a light blue shirt, dark blue jeans and a black cap. In another incident, a woman in her early 60s was pickpocketed on Wednesday at Toh Yi Drive. The victim was in the void deck of Block 5 at around 3pm when the thief reached into her grocery bag from behind and ran off with her wallet that contained $140 in cash. The woman gave chase but lost sight of the man, who fled towards Block 3 Toh Yi Drive. She said that the suspect is dark-complexioned and about 1.6m tall. He was wearing a white cap, a light coloured shirt and dark pants. Anyone with information on the two cases can call the police hotline on 1800-255-0000.
