A doctor practising medicine always has the patients at heart.

A politician, may be a dubious character who does not always have the constituents problems close to the heart.

A doctor is a signatory of the Hippocrates Oath which is a promise by physicians and other healthcare professionals to practice medicine ethically and honestly.

A politician, also known as a statesman is a leader of the people who elected him.

A doctor has to be honest and upright at all times.

A politician is one who may make promises that he is not able to fulfill. In short a politician may be of despicable character

There is a world of a difference between the two.

The good doctors will remain loyal to the service of mankind as compared to politicians who can be looters and philanderers.

A doctor is truly clean, whereas a politician may be considered as "dirty".

So doctors should remain where they are supposed to be and leave politicking to politicians.

Depends on who the doctor takes side. If he decided to join PAP instead of the opposition, than you know such doctor is dishonest, a liar and great pretender. Oath or not oath is not important, once he doned himself in white (not doctor uniform white but PAP WHITE), his heart immediately eaten up by his master and replaced with an aritificial one. Vivian Balakrishan is one example of an old PAP critique turned into PAP pinochio.

From what i know the medicine the doc gives you is not always the best, but the most profitable ones. The sales people from GSK, Abbot Lab etc hardsell the docs with all sorts of incentive. eg. women who visit doc for weight reduction treatment were given Reductil by default. Years later it turned out Reductil had such harmful effect that it got banned in US. Then the women found out there were a lot of better and cheaper medicine than Reductil.

Then there are those docs who would recommend a sick person a money draining treatment instead of a more effective cheaper treatment. And there are those super star specialists whose bills could run into millions. How in the world could any treatment cost that much??? It makes absolutely no sense. Unfortunately i have heard enough of these cases to make me believe the medical profession is as dirty as politics.

In that regards i think the Sinkie super star specialists are all cut out to be dirty politicians.
