Cancer Patient Uses Eye Drops Every Day So She Can Donate Corneas To Help People After She Dies

This woman in Henan, China is one of them. She was called Zhao and she had always hoped to donate her corneas after her death. Apart from telling her husband, Mr. Li, she even saved the wish in her phone, reported Oriental Daily.
She told the doctors her wish, and they advised her to apply some eye drops every day to keep her corneas healthy. So, every day without fail, she would use the eye drops even when she was in pain, especially during the last stages of her life.
On 4th September, Zhao passed away. Her husband then went to contact the hospital by telling them that his wife wanted to donate her corneas.
Two days later, the corneas were transplanted into 2 different people and as of now, they have recovered and are finally able to see.

Mr. Li even visited one of the people who got his late wife’s cornea because he wants to witness how his wife’s last wish is fulfilled. He said while crying,
Mr. Li wishes that with this story, people will be more aware of how important organ donations are and how many lives can be saved with that donation.

为保护好眼角膜逝后捐献 患癌妇忍痛拼命滴药水
罹患癌症末期的赵姓妇女，一直希望自己能够在过世后捐献眼角膜，而将愿望记在手机里，并每天按照医生建议点眼药水，为的就是拥有健康的器官完成捐赠，最终也在逝世后成功拯救了2位眼盲患者。
综合中国传媒的报导，此事发生在河南省郑州市，妇女已经在9月4日因为不敌癌症折磨，不幸去世。
其丈夫李先生随后联系了河南省立眼科医院，说要捐献爱妻的双眼角膜。李先生说，妻子在生命的最后阶段，身体已经痛得非常难受了。尽管如此，她还是按医生的建议，一直坚持滴眼药水，为的就是保护好眼角膜。
据悉，过了短短2天的时间，妇女所捐献的角膜就分别移植到2位患者眼中，他们手术后的恢复情况都十分良好，均已脱盲。
李先生还去拜访了其中一位受赠者，希望妻子的捐献，能让更多人认识到角膜和器官捐赠的重要性。此外，他也想见证妻子终于完成愿望的一幕，“这就是最后的贡献，她肯定是非常欣慰的。”语毕，李先生便心疼地掉下男儿泪。
