Many other countries with a lot more applications can do it so why can't SG? Each application is assessed individually and may take months before approval. The problem in SG is that the government defer to the employers to do the due diligence to save money. Besides, keeping the competition up for SGreans is good for the government.

It is the law that is the problem - the govt's role is to act as auditor, doing surprise checks on specific companies,
of different levels employment. Any company found not to be able to demonstrate or produce all relevant evidence
of due process of genuine qualifications should be severely punished - and I mean the HR director or one of the
executive directors. Otherwise it is all BS
