STOMPer Jerry was astounded by the high prices of bak kwa (or sliced barbecued pork, a popular Chinese New Year snack) on Bee Cheng Hiang's website.

In the STOMPer’s email today (Feb 5), the STOMPer wrote:

“Take a look at the cost of the bak kwa at the Bee Cheng Hiang online store.

“A 530g slice of meat costs S$359!

“I think that it is probably the most expensive slice pork in history in Singapore as the economy recovers.”

I don't really have a craving for BBQ pork... This is rally expensive though, more expensive than abalone....

Bak Kwa is one the worst product to be consumed during CNY
it's full of Lard oil, the burn partion will cause stomach cancer,
it will jack up your cholestrol level sky high!!!

Mean time these seller also jackup ridiculous high price, so stay away!!!
Bak Kwa!!

If u r a vegetarian, you will not have such problem.
