The problem lies with the sequence of events.

After pap changes the health statement to eg. You die your business or
No money no talk etc

Then the loctor can swiftly tells the patient this.
Then the patient decides and do what they need to do.

Not every services are covered by medishield or even pte insurance.

Sharing something that many people may not be aware of.

When a patient leequires say a valve leeplacement.
There are 2 methods for this procedure.
1. Open surgery
2. TAVI

Medishield and pte insurance only covers the invasive Open surgery

TAVI is minimally invasive.

This is Leegardless of the patient age and morbidity.

It means, even if you cannot survive a open surgery, pap wants you to do it in order to be covered. Pap and pte insurance say TAVI is a luxury, and optional.

A TAVI in sg cost at least $40k sgd in cash for a ter valve + $x for the surgery fee. Medishield and pte insurance only covers the surgery fee.

TAVI, or Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation, is a minimally invasive procedure used to replace a narrowed aortic valve (aortic stenosis) without open-heart surgery. A catheter-based approach delivers a new, collapsible valve to the heart, where it's expanded to take over the function of the diseased valve.

It's a ripp off. These medical people are not allowed to venture out and cure patients based on assessment but must abide by strict procedures dictate by corporate greed.

Lots of gov structure and system have been dysfunctional underneath for a long time already. Esp the gov healthcare if you been following for the last decade or so. Below cases are fully preventable as long as protocols are being followed. Btw her case occurred in public healthcare? Coz I don't have the full picture.

Another thing. The moment when this island hit 10 million. You just need another pandemic like SARS. The end results will be deathly. COVID itself typically is not deathly. When you compare COVID vs SARS. Low transmission = High mortality. High Transmission = low mortality.
