As for ioi , they aren't the premiere developer in Malaysia.
IOI develop huge track of what was previously Goodyear rubber estate in putrajaya. Including largest mall in Matlaysia.
But they remain a palm oil plantation company.

My friend was telling that Singapore is a magnet for the rich. Yes it's true. He say that a lot of Rich come in and park their money. Government is awash with so much money.

But back of my mind, does it help when the so call benefit does not filter down the economy ? You mean $600 voucher is a lot of money??

Just give enough to please the low SES rabble.

It's an ancient tradition: let the peasants eat, but don't let them be too full otherwise they start thinking 'dangerous thoughts' about no longer wanting to be merely peasants. And don't let them starve otherwise they become unproductive or rebellious.

Bloomberg: Singapore luxury condo’s early flop shows property boom’s limits
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ndo-s-early-flop-shows-property-boom-s-limits

The W Residences Marina View condominium began pre-sales last Saturday, and buyers booked only two of its 683 units over the weekend, according to people familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified sharing private information.

A nearby high-end residential project called Skywaters Residences, which is part of a broader development backed by Alibaba Group Holding Ltd and local developer Perennial Holdings Pte, has sold just two of its 190 units since it launched more than a year ago.

Local property giant City Developments Ltd, which is building another “ultra-luxury development” in the business district, hasn’t set a launch date for its Newport Residences project.
