Two years ago, when '90s Hong Kong star Mark Cheng announced that his wife of 20 years Ailyn Pow had suddenly left him along with their two kids, he was devastated.
The 59-year-old actor, best known for playing the antagonist Szeto Ho Nam in the Young & Dangerous franchise, hinted that Ailyn had cheated on him and he was left with nothing, not even his son and daughter, who live with their mum in Kuala Lumpur, where she is from.
Mark has been based in China for work in recent years. The last time he saw his kids was in December 2021.
Mark even appeared to have spent Chinese New Year alone this year.
Well, things have definitely improved for him.
Recently, the actor shared on Douyin that he's finally reunited with his daughter, 19-year-old Jada.
In the video, Mark cheered that, after five years, he's finally fulfilled his promise of taking her to see visit pandas.
Clearly elated to be spending time with Jada again, Mark also couldn't help but unleash some dad jokes on her.
"Does a panda know kungfu? [Yes,] Because Kungfu Panda," joked Mark, eliciting a patronising laugh from Jada.
Towards the end of the video, Mark, who had his arm around Jada, asked if she enjoyed herself, to which she excitedly replied "Yes!"
Netizens couldn't get enough of the sweet father-daughter pair and also praised Jada, saying she has blossomed into a beautiful young woman.

There were comments that she looks pan-Asian, "resembles '80s screen goddess Cherie Chung", and "got her good genes from dad".
