A total of nine more vehicles have been impounded in Singapore for providing illegal cross-border services.

The update on Nov. 4 was provided by the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

This brings the total to 126 vehicles impounded since July 2025.

Senior Minister of State for Transport Sun Xueling also provided an update in a social media post on the same day.

She wrote that LTA conducted enforcement operations at both land checkpoints in Woodlands and Tuas earlier on Tuesday and impounded five vehicles in one day.

Four other vehicles were impounded earlier in the past three weeks across various locations in Singapore, which included North Bridge Road and Jalan Sultan.

Drivers caught providing illegal ride-hailing services face up to S$3,000 fines and/ or six months’ jail, and possible vehicle forfeiture.

Sun urged commuters to use only legal and licensed vehicles for cross-border travel needs.

She previously said commuters who use such services may find their journeys affected during enforcement operations.

There is a huge demand for the service. Both gomen should sit down create a license if thay is what the people want instead of trying to defend high sinkie taxes on vehicles which create a unfair situation and reason for seizures.
