Lee Kuan Yew said that managing Singapore must have the will to steel.
Lee Kuan Yew said that managing Singapore must have the will to steel.

[Reporter] The revision of the Fugitive Offenders Regulation triggered a social turmoil that lasted for two months. Demonstrations, violent shocks and uncooperative movements in various districts were in Hong Kong. After a few days, the Chief Executive, Mrs Lam, was in the process of "resolving the chaos". Scholars have criticized the Hong Kong government for only delaying the issue. It is recommended to take advantage of the leadership of the late Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew to deal with the issue with the will of steel.

A short video was posted on the Internet, referring to the Singapore Airlines Pilots Association in November 1980, when the pilot asked for a pay increase to launch a strike. In the episode, Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew firmly pointed out to the people that he proposed two options. One was to stop affecting normal services immediately; the other was to continue the strike and rebuild Singapore Airlines: “Even without them (pilots), I can make aviation The company continued to operate!" After that, the pilot quickly returned to work and ended the work.

Li is excited and said: "No matter who manages Singapore, you must have the will to steel, otherwise you don't even think about it! This is not a game, it's about your life! I spent a lifetime of hard work to build this place (Singapore), As long as I still manage Singapore, no one can ruin her!"

No stopping public servant strikes, letting police and people conflict

Chen Weiqiang, a lecturer at the School of Professional and Continuing Education at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, said that the Hong Kong Government’s determination to deal with the strikes in Hong Kong is obviously not as good as the case of Singapore. In particular, the Government has no tough stance on civil service strikes. Some government-funded non-profit organizations The government also refused to strike, and the government did not stop it. In addition, the demonstrations and police-civilian conflicts have been maintained for nearly two months. Even the general public no longer believe that the police will protect the people. Everyone must take defensive tools at their own risk. The government still suffers. No countermeasures, let the society tear. He suggested that the Hong Kong Government should use the firm determination of Lee Kuan Yew to formulate a solution to make the society back on track.
