Dear Singaporeans,
Of late, our Government officials have started their propaganda, yet again. Now, each and everyone claims that we need FTs in our tiny red dot. True, accepted. However, how much and what have they contributed for the people of Singapore?
The entire Europe is facing a crisis, with unemployment facing record highs and set to rise. India is still, at where it was 25 years ago, hardly growing. China is facing a severe slowdown, though not out. Our neighbors are not having it better.
Singapore, attracting FDIs and FTs, have been enjoying full employment, for themselves. My question would be, where does all these leave us should their fortunes take a turn for the better? Europe will, eventually, resume their long awaited growth. Same goes for all other countries. If that being the case, what does the people of Singapore stand to benefit?

How many of us are employed in these large MNCs, where FTs have ben filling up positions that Singaporeans could easily fill? If one has the qualifications but being refused a job, then where is the said experience and how is one going to build on the job experience?
Singaporeans, please ponder and think very carefully. Is our Government really putting Singaporeans first? We end up worrying about our jobs, our future. Let’s turn the tables the other way around now. Try getting employed in Europe or India or even China. Either you will be flushed out or, you can hardly ever get an interview.
Yes. Economist will claim the demise of another country is a boom for Singapore. Many would flock here but its all about money. If our Government continue to open doors for FTs to come here, then the question would be who will fill the vacuum when they leave?
