56 arrested for vice, other offences in Geylang in overnight blitz

SINGAPORE - An overnight joint operation in Geylang that ended this morning resulted in the arrests of 56 people, the police said in a statement today.
The suspects, of whom 21 are men and 35, women, are aged between 18 and 73 years old. They are accused of various crimes including vice, drug-related and immigration offences, as well as the peddling of illegal sexual enhancement products.
The blitz was led by Bedok Police Division and involved officers from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, Central Narcotics Bureau, and Health Sciences Authority.
Investigations against the suspects are ongoing.
