i sure hope the job vacancies reserved for foreigners are primarily entertainment related, i.e.: public relations, general relations, masseuse, escort services etc. and not those that sgporns can already fulfill. in times like these, competition for a simple ricebowl is the last thing sgporns need.

much as i hate their accent, i prefer to deal with them as service-providers than i do with sulky sinkees ...

got lost in a mall & asked a filipino shop manager for directions ... he was polite & helpful, and this is not the 1st time ive been politely helped by filipino shop assts ...

if sinkies, they will scowl at u, and most likely u have to speak to them in mandarin ... even if u speak in mandarin, they will still scowl as if they hate their jobs ... many sinkess really have an attitude problem at work & they deserve 2b replaced by foreigners ... on this, i agree with leongsam ...

getting paid low salaries does not give them the excuse to be rude to customers ...

i'm in the "service sector". and i would prefer being spoken to in english. i don't know abou those other ciao ah bengs who like to boast about how they make much more money than i do, doing the same job.

i'm more pissed off by the foreigners who don't speak any of the our 4 official languages. those people are very very troublesome. maybe we should all learn sign language.
