SINGAPORE - Police have arrested four men who are believed to be involved in a fight along Paya Lebar Road.
On March 9 at 8.44 pm, the police were alerted to a case of fighting involving 10 male foreigners. Four men were arrested, and a broken wooden plank and fragments of a broken beer bottle found at the scene were seized as case exhibits.
Preliminary investigations revealed that there was a dispute between two groups of people before the fight ensued, said the police in a statement.
The four suspects will be charged in court. If convicted for an offence of Rioting under Section 147 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, they will face an imprisonment for a term which may extend to 7 years or with a fine or caning. Efforts are also on-going to trace the remaining suspects involved in the fight.
