SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 327 new COVID-19 cases as of noon on Friday (Jul 17), with nine infections in the community, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in its preliminary.
This brings the total number of cases in the country to 47,453
Among the new community cases, there are six Singaporeans or permanent residents and three work pass holders.
There are also three imported cases who were placed on stay-home notice upon their arrival in Singapore, MOH said.
The rest of the cases are work permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

KNN, FW in dormitories like never ending,
At least community cases are quite stable.
So P3 when can open? When can stop wearing mask, very uncomfortable. KNN.

I think the total number of cases will hit 60k at least before petering out.

Don't forget to go out and support the cinemas, cafes, Changi Jewel and Founder's bak kut teh.

How many are not sick?

Why are we still having three-figures for dorm infections? WTF is going on?

The infection is already widespread but of course hardly anyone is actually sick because the virus is very mild in the vast majority of the population.

As result whenever testing is performed a percentage of those that tested will yield positive results. If the number tested was doubled then you'd see double the number of positives.

Instead of counting absolute numbers which is pretty meaningless without stating how many tests were done the daily count should be "percentage that test positive" as this parameter will far better reflect the trend of the infection rates.
