A 30 year old man was found dead in the Singapore River on Tuesday night in the stretch of the river near Swissotel Merchant Court.
The SCDF were alerted at about 7:15pm and a team of divers was deployed to fish the body out of the river.
The body was successfully brought to land about an hour later and paramedics pronounced him dead on the scene.
The man was identified as a 30 year old Chinese male.
Police are currently investigating the case.
