Police have arrested three 15-year-old youths for suspected involvement in a series of island-wide loanshark harassment targeting HDB flats and car owners.
Investigations revealed that the trio was involved in seven cases of loanshark harassment targeting HDB flats and two cases targeting car owners.
Head of Unlicensed Moneylending Strikeforce, Superintendent of Police Aileen Yap said: "Think twice before succumbing to fast cash offered by the loansharks.
Those who are arrested will have to face the full brunt of the law regardless of their age."
Members of public, especially youths, are advised to stay away from loansharks and not to work or assist the loansharks in any way.
Parents are also advised to keep close track of their children's activities outside school.
The public can call the Police at '999' or the X-Ah Long hotline at 1800 924 5664 if they suspect or know of anyone who could be involved in illegal loansharking activities.
