Police believe they have identified the suspect who drove off in a snatch theft victim's car after his accomplice was killed in Taman Cheras Perdana here on Sunday.

Police have arrested three youths, aged 13 to 16 years, for suspected involvement in a series of theft cases.

On September 18 2013 at about 9.34am, Police received a report of theft committed in the vicinity of Block 46 Lengkok Bahru.

The victim's unsecured valuables comprising his wallet, pouch, envelopes containing documents and cash amounting to a total sum of $4,600 were stolen while he was inside his taxi. Through intensive follow-up investigations, officers from Clementi Police Division managed to trace and arrest three teens at a shopping centre along Telok Blangah Road on September 19 at 5.30pm.

The three suspects will be charged in Court on September20 . Two of the suspects will face a charge of Theft with Common Intention under section 379 read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 which carries a maximum jail term of three years imprisonment, or a fine or both. The third suspect will face a charge of Dishonestly receiving stolen Property under Section 411 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, which is punishable with imprisonment which may extend to 5 years, or a fine, or both.

The police reminds drivers not to keep their valuables in their vehicles when their vehicles are left unattended.
