Foreigners leave and HDB price crash? As long as the PAP is in power, you wait long, long.
lots of flats built in the 70s are hitting 40 yrs old soon; whole stretch of Marine Parade and Toa Payoh and Outram etc ... if CPF doesn't allow monthly payments for flats with less than 60 yrs lease, the prices will drop heavily... the whole of Sinkapore is waiting to see what happens to these old flats in the next few years...
I hate to be a pessimist but i don't see this changing anytime soon. In fact HDB prices will go up even higher in future. I expected a collapse this year, and nothing happened despite the worse US recession in recent history. You see the PAP has complete power here. They dictate prices, and lots of people do buy up these overpriced flats. That's why owners see no reason to lower prices.
