3 Key Political Outcomes from this By elections.

We know that there are quality candidates and people out there who are not aligned with the PAP and may have their own brand of politics that may appeal to Singaporeans. Variety of views will help the country. The 3rd party might even have an ideological or cause that they think pivotal - how the economy should be run and thus attracting those that can contribute in this area. Somewhere between PAP and PAP.

Its no different to Saville Row for tailors. With WP and another quality opposition party, more Singaporeans will come put openly to participate and contribute. It will also force the PAP to play ball.

I tend to agree there tends to be an open space for a 3rd world class political party to enter the fray. The CEC or Ex-CEC of the SDP has some amazing personas whom have worked in the various ministries. with the accelerated pace things are happening. It may be crucial that this abled talents are tapped before it is too late. I would tend to regard lame excuses as who is going to do the backbreaking work etc as lame excuses. IN 1960s , what did Singapore have? a complete team of civil services , civil servants and a nice little completed windmill? bullshit.A few clueless dudes just got lucky thats about it.

Beyond talent, there seems to be plenty of money sloshing around to support the rise of such alternatives.

I think it sounds excellent. I am aware that the parties already have some pivotal ideology. And there are lots of youngsters coming of age and older members with a wealth of knowledge and experience in a wide range of different industry and ministries. It sounds like getting in team in place is not too difficult. Then comes the working the ground part, choosing the battlefield ( GRC) and letting the people know the ideology. Of course there are a lot more to it I think. Thus it is ESSENTIAL that they start fast. 2016 is not too far off. And the ground is prime for working. ( Singaporeans want change) . Definitely there is a opening for a 3rd good qualified group of politicians.
