24-year-old suspect arrested for motorcycle theft

SINGAPORE - A 24-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a motorcycle.

At about 2.20am on Oct 28, police officers from Bukit Merah East Neighbourhood Police Centre had spotted the suspect while they were on patrol.

He was seen behaving suspiciously and riding on the motorcycle.

The patrolling officers approached the suspect to conduct a check and it was revealed that the suspect did not possess a valid driver's license. He was also unable to prove ownership of the motorcycle.

He was arrested subsequently.

If convicted, the suspect may face a maximum jail term of seven years and may also be fined.
