[Local] Yesterday (24/1/2026) at about 5 pm, a fire broke out in a flat on the 12th floor of Block 103B, Telok Blangkah Depot Road.

The Civil Defense Forces arrived and used two jets of water to extinguish the fire. About 70 residents were evacuated, one of whom was hospitalized due to ill health.

There was no one in the fire unit at the time, and an elderly woman had evacuated first. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Civil Defense reminds the public to pay attention to the safety of electricity and open flames.
