23 year old undergrad jailed for sexually assaulting his stepsons - Guess the Race?

Hmmmm....I wonder.

A former university student was jailed a total of 21 years and ordered to be caned 11 times by the Sessions Court for five counts of sexually assaulting his stepsons.

Sessions judge Sitarun Nisa Abdul Aziz imposed the sentence after the 23-year-old accused changed his plea and admitted to the charges.

The man was charged with three counts under Section 377B of the Penal Code for committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature with his 14-year-old stepson.

He was also charged under Section 377E of the Penal Code for inciting his nine-year-old stepson on two occasions “to perform acts of gross indecency”.

All the offences were committed between Oct 15, 2010 and March 30 last year in an apartment in Bukit Gambier here.

Defence counsel Rosli Ismail asked the court for a lighter sentence because the accused was a first offender and he had repented his acts.

Sitarun ordered the accused to be jailed for five years and caned three times for each of the first three charges.

She also jailed the accused for three years and ordered that he be whipped once for each of the other two offences.

The jail sentences were to be served concurrently effective yesterday.
