IPOH: Twenty-one Chinese nationals who were working as guest relation officers (GROs) thought that they could escape a raid by hiding in secret rooms at an entertainment outlet.
In the 2am operation at the premises in Taman Ipoh here yesterday, policemen from the Perak Gambling, Secret Society and Vice Division found six GROs hiding behind three rooms.
State D7 officer Deputy Supt Hasbullah Ali said his men used crowbars and hammers to break into the secret rooms before arresting six women.
"We have detained the 21 Chinese nationals, aged between 20 and 30."
