中国运-20重型军用运输机总设计师唐长红近日在接受央视《东方时空》栏目采访时表示,运-20已正式批量生产。他还表示,“飞机交付部队以后完成了很多新的试验,像运载、空投、空降等”。在中国航空工业集团发布的《长风破浪》宣传片中,运-20生产线首次曝光。
此前,唐长红已透露运-20今年将换装中国国产发动机。若运-20换装国产发动机,其产能将不受发动机的制约,将快速进入批量生产阶段。
运-20运输机(Y-20),代号鲲鹏,是由中国西安飞机工业集团研发的重型军用运输机,为目前中国新一代重型多用途大型运输机。运-20运输机2013年1月首飞,2016年6月首批交付空军。
长期以来,快速远程投送能力一直是中国军方的软肋,运-20或将从根本上改变这一局面,它对中国军方的意义一点不比歼-20小。

运-20最大起飞重量为220吨,可在复杂气象条件下,执行各种物资和人员的长距离航空运输任务。运-20最大载重能力达到66吨,可以载运主战坦克等重装备,最大飞行距离亦增至7800公里。另外,运-20的电子设备相较伊尔-76也有了较大改进。
除了执行投送人员装备任务外,运-20也是研发大型预警机、加油机、电子侦察机的平台。一旦解决发动机国产化这一难题,中国军用大飞机的研发和生产将不再受制于人。可以说,运-20的批量生产将真正使中国跨入攻防兼备的战略空军门槛。
据悉,我国目前已解决了影响运-20生产的关键性问题。之前,我国该型号的运输机发动机一直依靠进口乌克兰的D-30航空发动机。而由于其他型号的战机也在使用D-30,从而在可使用发动机数量上限制了运-20的生产。

不过,运-20将使用哪一款国产发动机目前还不得而知。有消息说,运-20可能使用推力更大的涡扇-20发动机。涡扇-20发动机是中国在太行发动机基础上,自行研制的大涵道比涡扇发动机。该型发动机一旦列装,标志着中国航空工业将克服发动机的制约,进入发展的快车道。
长期以来,航空发动机都是中国军机发展的软肋。近几年来,中国国产航空发动机研发进展很快,虽与美国、俄罗斯相比仍有较大差距,但每年都有新的突破。
此外,运-20对于中国航空工业而言有着极为重要的意义。诚如唐长红总师所言,运20代表的不是一个型号或者一型飞机,更重要的是它牵引了相关的行业、相关的技术进步。“对于这样大的工程来说,每一步都是一个启发性工程,都是未来的奠基石。”

Yun-20 transport aircraft (Y-20), codenamed Kun Peng, is a heavy-duty military transport aircraft developed by China Xi'an Aircraft Industry Group. It is the new generation of heavy-duty multi-purpose large transport aircraft in China. The Yun-20 transport aircraft first flew in January 2013 and was first delivered to the Air Force in June 2016.

The turbofan-20 engine is a large bypass ratio turbofan engine developed by China on the basis of the Taihang engine.
