Residents returned home to assess property damage as the Brisbane river began to recede today after reaching a peak of 4.46 and flooding over 25,000 Brisbane homes and leaving over 100,000 residences without power. The floods in Brisbane and the Lockyer Valley claimed the lives of 15 people with many more still reported missing in region.
