20 arrested in 14-hour crime blitz

SINGAPORE - Twenty individuals were arrested in a 14-hour joint enforcement operation led by Ang Mo Kio Police Division and Central Narcotics Bureau.
On Sep 24, officers mounted an operation at 10am and conducted checks at the housing estates in Sembawang, Yishun, Ang Mo Kio, Hougang and Serangoon.
During the operation, a man was arrested for buying illegal 4D in Buangkok Crescent. He was found with a mobile phone containing entries related to illegal Public Lottery.
19 others were also arrested for drug-related offences.
Investigations against the suspects are ongoing.
The offence of buying of illegal lottery carries a punishment of a fine not exceeding $5,000, an imprisonment term not exceeding six months or both.
