The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that there are 1,426 new cases of Covid-19 infection on Monday, April 20, 2020.



MOH has preliminarily confirmed these cases.
The vast majority of whom are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

The number of local cases has continued to decline, with 16 Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents among the cases today.
MOH said it is still working through the details of the cases, and further updates will be shared via the MOH press release that will be issued tonight.
The highest number of cases announced in one day was 942 on April 18, 2020.

As of 20 April 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 1,426 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore, the vast majority of whom are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories. 16 cases are Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents.

SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 1,426 new COVID-19 cases on Monday (Apr 20), bringing the national total to 8,014.

The "vast majority" of the new cases are work permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in its media release of preliminary figures.


Sixteen new cases are Singaporeans or permanent residents.

"We are still working through the details of the cases, and further updates will be shared via the MOH press release that will be issued tonight," said the ministry.
