2 teens arrested for stealing motor taxi

SINGAPORE - Two teens, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested for theft of a motor taxi in the vicinity of Teban Gardens.
Officers were patrolling in the area on Feb 25 at around 11.30pm when they were approached by the victim. He reported that his parked vehicle was stolen.
The officers later spotted the said motor taxi at the car park of Block 35, Teban Gardens Road. The 16-year-old suspect fled after seeing the officers but was subsequently arrested after a short chase.
He will be charged in court on Feb 27 for the offence of Theft of Motor Vehicle.
If convicted, he faces a jail term up to seven years and shall be liable to a fine.
Investigations against the 15-year-old suspect are ongoing.
