2 held for harassment

<!-- end left side bar --> <!-- story content : start --> TWO men, aged 27 and 30 years, were arrested for suspected involvement in loanshark harassment during a road block in Hougang early on Wednesday morning. During a search on the men, police found an assortment of paint in various containers, crayon and documents believed to be debtors' records in their possession. The men will be charged for loanshark harassment under the amended Moneylenders Act 2008 on Thursday. Under the amended Act which came into effect on Feb 11, first time offenders face jail terms of up to 5 years and/or a fine of between $5,000 and $50,000, in addition to mandatory caning of up to 6 strokes.
