2 charged with break-in, theft of 12 stingrays

TWO men were charged in court on Monday with housebreaking and theft of $40,000 worth of stingray from an aquarium.
Lee Yong Pin, 31, and Ong Zixian, 22, allegedly broke into the premises at Serangoon North Avenue 4 last Saturday and stole 12 live stingrays from Mr Chow Phee Song, 31.
Both were offered bail of $20,000 each. Their passports were impounded.
The duo will be back in court on Aug 15.
If convicted, they face a jail term of between two and 14 years each.
