18 and still cannot vote

Now 18 years old can open CDP account and trade shares, get dividends, open company, be company director, can be jailed, caned and bankrupted before turning 21,,,,,, but cannot vote

WHY? because if they are allowed to vote, and they are in NS, and wasting 2 years of their time, the 1st thing they would do is to vote PAP out,,,,
