16 June 151 cases

It's also possible that people who got sick refuse to go to a hospital. No testing done = no cases recorded.
Yes, this suppression issue is real...but if you really need to be hospitalised, you need to be hospitalised...which then seems to back up what Sam has been saying all along...that this virus ain't that gravely serious after all, well not at the expense of the whole economy coming to a grinding halt at least.

It's not just the economy that's fucked... the social aspects of society are fucked too, and I posit that the latter is far more damaging than economic concerns of jobs and GDP. You'll see.

Yes, point taken.

Personally, I am still upset over not being able to attend an old childhood friend's wake/funeral because of the CB. Heck, I am also upset that I could not visit him at the hospice to say a final goodbye in his last weeks.

More "good" news for elections.

these numbers take with a pinch of salt.... numbers low so that after june 18, if numbers skyrocket, then cant blame gahment
more important is the death rate, like boss sam always says.....how many are actually sick?
common sense tells me that many in the population are already silent carriers

good example of overkill,
it should be up to you to decide the risk

KNN did you managed to find out why crowd can gather at bbt shop fairprice xtra and mrt whereas they are not allowed to send someone to the burial when the burial space is many times bigger than the others KNN

As of 16 June 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 151 cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore, the vast majority of whom are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories. Based on our investigations so far, there are 2 cases in the community, both of whom are Work Pass holders. There are no Singaporean/ Permanent Resident cases.
They only send 200 people for testing today, so the result shows 151 cases. If they send 2000 cases for testing, it will turn out to be 1510 cases. LWL said the dishonourable son cannot be trusted.

*cough cough*

taking a look at the stats, plenty of exit swabs to fill the slots, easily between 15K to 20K samples from those folks under quarantine counting back two weeks from today.

how many new unique suspected cases are swabbed daily? Teehee...

Government considered non essential during CB apart from immediate family?

You sound like Donald Trump.

Thanks for the compliment. It is an honor to be compared with the best President the USA has seen in recent times.

However the fact remains that it is the unnecessary publicity that is the cause of all the anxiety.

Flu causes hundreds of thousands of deaths annually too but most don't bother to get vaccinated despite that fact that a vaccine has been available for many decades. The reason is simply because despite the high case count and deaths it isn't in the forefront of our consciousness from the lack of publicity about the dangers that influenza poses.

KNN, If SG have a outbreak just like Beijing, Xinfadi, we sure go back to CB.
I used to send post/greetings cards to my chiobu netfriend in Fengtai district, Xi Luo Yuan. Though she is not in Beijing now, her younger sister and parents are still there.
I am concerned because I met her in SG.
Some day hope I can visit Beijing, still have few net friends there.

KNN my uncle hear they say whenever someone want to come in sg have to pay $2k quarantine fee and $200 swab fee KNN

If SG go by these rates of cases everyday, the medal tally will change hand very fast,
End of the game, (SEA) gold medal goes to Indonesia, silver to Philippines and bronze to SG.
