<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"-->THE distinctive sweeping sound reverberates throughout the Hougang block everyday.
Rain or shine, 75-year-old cleaner Mr Yong Tze Nam starts work at 7am and ends at 12pm.
And for his diligence and commitment to the job, he was awarded 'Best Cleaner' of the Northeast district by the National Environment Agency.
For that, he will get a $100 voucher and a certificate. The sole breadwinner told RazorTV that the best part of the job was when the children living in the block calls him 'grandpa'.
Find out more about this unsung hero on RazorTV.

75 years old is nothing man. I know of 2 80+(I think) and a 86 still working very hard for the good of the country. Of course not counting the salary, pension, and trips abroad with wife/daughter.

Such diligent individuals. They bring tears to my eyes.

He is not necessarily unpaid. The words 'job' and 'breadwinner' are existent in this passage.

And he is not unsung either. Me and my rock band have just performed a song for him in Amsterdam live!
