IPOH, MALAYSIA: A 15-year-old secondary school student was repeatedly raped by 15 men near the Sungai Klah hot springs in Sungkai, about 84km from here.
Tapah OCPD Superintendent Roslan Bek Ahmad said the girl from Felda Trolak Utara was persuaded by a man known only as "Wan" to accompany him to the hot springs on Feb 28 at about 6.15pm.
Four men were waiting there. They held her down and covered her mouth while "Wan" forced himself on her. They later took turns raping her.
"The girl was then taken to an empty house in Felda Sungai Klah, near the hot spring, where another 10 men were waiting," said Supt Roslan Bek on Tuesday.
"There she was repeatedly raped again and held at the house until the next day," he said.
Supt Roslan Bek said that one of the men then dropped the girl off at the Sungai Kruit bus station on Mac 1 at 7pm where she was picked up by her god brother.
The girl recounted her ordeal to her mother and was takes to lodge a report at the Sungkai police station, he said.
She was then sent to the Teluk Intan Hospital for a medical check-up.
Supt Roslan Bek said police have arrested two suspects, aged 15 and 29, in Sungkai on Tuesday at about 1am.
He was confident of rounding up the remaining suspects soon.
In another unrelated case, Supt Roslan Bek said a businessman, 34, and his wife, 26, were charged at the Tapah Sessions Court for allegedly causing grevious hurt to their Indonesian maid.
He said Harjit Singh Beer Singh and housewife Harminder Kaur Harbans Singh, have allegedly abused Hertina Gultom, 27, at their home in Chenderiang.
"The victim, who ran away from her employers on Feb 22, claimed that she was slapped, kicked and beaten up," he said.
"A medical report by the forensics at the Hospital Kuala Lumpur on Feb 25 noted that there were old and new wounds, bruises and scars, inflicted repeatedly possibly by another person than the victim herself," he said.
Both the employers claimed trial and were given RM8,000 bail each, said Supt Roslan Bek.
If found guilty, they could be jailed up to 20 years and fined or whipped, he said.
