SINGAPORE - Police have arrested 15-year-old male for a housebreaking case in Woodlands Ring Rd.
On May 20 at about 7.30am, the victim placed his mobile phone valued at $450 on his bed beside the bedroom window facing the common corridor. He woke up a few hours later and discovered his mobile phone was missing.
The teen was arrested in Yishun on May 27 at about 9 pm.
He will be charged in Court for the offence of Housebreaking and Theft by Day under Section 454 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.
Police advised house occupants of common corridor units not to leave their valuables near the windows as unsecured/unattended valuables pose as easy targets to would-be culprits even if it is only for a very short while.
